Jun 18 2014 I have a seat and a valve grinder bought in 80 from Snap-on. Valve grinder is good but was never satisfied with the seat method. The stone carrier tended to drop off the drive motor and control was affected by that. The stones would wear or chip causing me to redress too often. And the pilot often shifted from the speedvibration of the drive .
The Valve Seat Grinding Stone Resurfacer Cat. No. 1716 in very good condition. There are 24 stones with only two or three that show wear. Most are in very good condition. The set has 15 pilots in great condition and 5 reamers all clean with no chipping. The two stone holders are clean and look great.

Grinding valve seats . Refer to the images above. Put some moistened valve grinding compound or turtle wax on the valve seat. Smear it around the ring of the seat. Then push the corresponding valve into the seat. Take your variable speed drill with a suction cup attached to the end. Wet the end of the suction cup so it holds better to the valve.
